About Binthezyn

Binthezyn is a free, private tracker for nicotine pouches. It runs in your browser, keeps its data on your device, and does not ask who you are.

Who it is for

Three kinds of people use it, and all three are equally welcome.

• People quitting nicotine pouches for good.
• People cutting down, at their own pace, with no fixed end date.
• People who just want to know their own numbers, with no plan to change anything.

Nothing in the app assumes which one you are. The screens and the messages are written to make sense for all three.

What it tracks

• Pouches per day, logged with a tap.
• Pouch-free days, marked on purpose so they count.
• Nicotine in milligrams, based on what you tell it about your pouches.
• Money spent, built from the purchases you log: date, price, pack size, pouches per pack.
• Trends over weeks and months, since a single day rarely means much on its own.

What it does not do

• No account. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log into.
• No ads.
• No upsell. There is no paid tier waiting behind a paywall.
• No selling data. There is no data to sell in the first place.
• No guilt. The app does not moralize about slips, streaks, or how much you log.

How it works on your device

Binthezyn is a web app that installs like an app. When you open it, your entries are saved directly in your browser's storage on your phone or computer. Nothing is sent to a server unless you turn on analytics in Settings, and even then, the details are limited and described plainly on the privacy page.

Because the data lives on your device, it is only as safe as that device. Clearing your browser's site data, or a factory reset, will remove it. That is why export exists.

Export and import

Settings has an export button that saves a JSON file with everything you have logged. Keep a copy somewhere safe: cloud storage, email to yourself, a notes app, wherever suits you. Import reads that same file back in, on the same device or a new one, and asks whether to merge it with what is already there or replace it.

There is no built-in sync between phones yet. Export and import is the way to move a backup from one device to another today.

Installing to your home screen

Binthezyn works better installed, since it can then run full screen and send reminders.

iPhone or iPad (Safari)

Open binthezyn.ca in Safari, tap the Share icon, then choose Add to Home Screen.

Android (Chrome)

Open binthezyn.ca in Chrome. You should see an install prompt, or you can open the browser menu and choose Install app.

Reminders

Settings offers three optional reminders: an evening prompt to log the day, a short morning note, and a midday thought. Each one is a separate switch with its own time. They ask for notification permission only when you turn one on, and none of them try to shame you into opening the app.

A short note on cost

Binthezyn is free to use now and is built to stay usable for free. There is no plan to lock existing features behind payment.
